Conservation zoning
In order to satisfy the different demands, the Biosphere Reserves are separated into sectors:
The core area is legally protected area where no Human interventions are allowed, in the way to conserve the gene pool. They are used as reference states in research projects.
The buffer area, where non-conservation activities are prohibited. They have been chosen because of there persevered ecosystems. No intensive farming has been done since a long time and they are available to reasoned agriculture, which promote a large biodiversity.
The rest of the Biosphere reserve is classified as transition zone where approved practices are permitted. Those practices have to be in full consent with the conservation of nature, landscapes and social targets.
